GRT started the way a lot of good trades businesses should: one tiler, one van, a Prince's Trust loan, and a refusal to cut corners. Demand grew. The team grew. Eight years ago the business went limited to take on bigger contracts with the UK's national housebuilders.
The standard set on day one is still the standard today — only now it's delivered across hundreds of plots a year rather than one bathroom at a time.
Gary has 25 years in construction across commercial and residential projects, with a deep specialism in natural stone and high-end finishes. That matters. When a site manager has a substrate question, a tricky detail, or a tile that's arriving 3mm out of spec, the person at the end of the phone has cut it, laid it, and finished it themselves.
It also means every fitter on our books is mentored by someone who can still do the job to showroom standard — not someone who learnt the trade from a price book.
